Debra Caruso, president and owner, has more than 30 years experience in the media field and has developed numerous working relationships with a wide range of contacts in the press corps throughout the U.S. She has directed campaigns for corporate entities, large non-profit organizations, unions, trade organizations and leading universities.
Ms. Caruso is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Press Club and represents the organization as its public relations consultant. A graduate of Fordham University with a degree in journalism, she was previously vice president at Sheehan Communications, Inc.
A known expert on the media, she has been quoted in The New York Times, Marketwatch, ABC News Radio, metro US, WNYC, E-Commerce Times, Portfolio.com, MacNewsWorld, Arizona Republic, Forbes.com, AOL WalletPop, Christian Science Monitor and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel among others.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Fordham College Alumni Association, Debra is author of the book, Fordham University & the United States: A History. Married with two children, she also writes the blog, TV Takes All, is featured in Who’s Who of American Women and serves on the Board of Directors of Jazz 2 Cure, which raises funds for music therapy for cancer patients.
Featured in The Hill and Huffington Post, Debra has also written articles on public relations in such publications as BullDog Reporter, Ragan.com, O’Dwyer’s PR Magazine and CommPro.biz on such topics as advice for the presidential candidates. Her writing on media has been featured in the DailyNational.com.
Christa Treitmeier-Meditz has had a long career in sales and fundraising. A former Director of Sales at such renowned properties as The Roosevelt Hotel and The Palace in New York, she recently made the switch to public relations, putting her sales talents to work with the media.
A graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts, Christa also has a substantial track record working with non-profit organizations to assist their fundraising activities. A resident of Forest Hills, New York, she and her husband, Robert, have two children.
Jim Nedelka has extensive journalism and production experience in both traditional and “new” media at the local and network levels. At NBC News and ABC News Radio (for more than 25 years), Jim’s efforts helped present news and information to those waking up across America, including the unfolding, as-it-happened tragedy of 9/11.
He is proud that his efforts during his tenure helped play a part in ABC’s recognition with three George Foster Peabody Awards, an Alfred I duPont-Columbia University Awards Silver Baton and several Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio and Television News Directors’ Association. Prior to his time at ABC, Jim was part of the news and production departments at WHN Radio where he created many award-winning imaging and branding messages and was also executive producer of New York Mets radio broadcasts. Married with children, Jim is an ordained Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.) and has done extensive freelance writing.
Montana Mauro, Associate Account Executive, was educated at the University of West Virginia. A Long Island native, she has a major in communications and a minor in public relations and the music industry. At WVU, she interned for the university’s record label Mon Hills Records.
Mike Marrone is Executive Vice President for Systems and IT and directs all the firm’s database, technical and distribution operations.
An engineer for a multi-national defense contractor who directs systems operations for major government and military projects, Mike is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology.
